How fees work

  • Insurance we work with

Some health plans pay for part of a chiropractic visit and some do not, and a plan can treat care during pregnancy differently from other visits. We bill some plan types. The plan decides what it pays, and neither we nor you can know that until it tells you.

    • Most PPO plans

    • HSA and FSA cards for what a plan does not pay

  • If you pay yourself

Before a visit, we tell you the fee for each part of it, so you know the total before it happens. If you would like a written estimate first, ask the front desk.

  • Receipts for reimbursement

Ask for an itemized receipt, called a superbill, at any visit. You can send it to your plan. A plan may pay back part of it, and the plan decides.

  • An estimate in advance

If you do not use insurance, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate. Ask us. We give you a written estimate before your visit, in plain words.

  • Checking your benefits

Call your plan before your first visit. Ask whether it covers chiropractic visits, whether a referral is needed, whether visits are limited in a year, and what it pays when you are pregnant. We will wait while you call.

  • What the first visit includes

About 45 minutes: a conversation, a short exam and an explanation of what we found. Bring your questions and the name of your midwife or OB.

What a first visit is like

Two more answers

  • If you cannot make a visit

Please tell us as early as you can if you cannot come, because pregnancy days change. Ask the front desk about our cancellation policy.

  • If your plan does not pay

You still get the written estimate before the visit and an itemized receipt after it. Ask us before you book.

Ask for your estimate

The front desk gives it in writing before your visit.
