Pregnancy care
Prenatal visits
A gentle chiropractic visit for pregnant patients, shaped around where you are in your pregnancy.
For people who are pregnant, with their midwife’s or OB’s agreement, and who want a chiropractor’s hands-on care at an easy pace.

What to expect
What a visit includes
A talk, a short exam and, if you want it, light adjusting.
Dr. Das explains what she will do first
Side-lying and pillow positions
You can stop or say no at any point
A short note to your care team, with your permission
How long and how often
A visit takes about as long as it takes to talk, examine and adjust, usually 30 to 45 minutes. Dr. Das sets a plan with you after the exam and changes it as your pregnancy changes. We do not promise a number of visits.
What we do not claim
We do not claim that a visit changes how a pregnancy or a birth goes, or how a baby lies. We make no claims about conditions, and results vary.
When to see your midwife or physician first
Ask your midwife or OB before your first visit, and call them first about bleeding, leaking fluid, regular tightening, a fall or a blow to the belly, fewer baby movements than usual, or a sudden severe headache or swelling with vision changes.
At the counter, with an itemized receipt. Some plans pay part of it; the plan decides.
Questions about this care
Is chiropractic care during pregnancy safe?
Every kind of care has risks. Soreness after an adjustment is common and usually short. Rare serious problems have been reported after chiropractic care. We explain the risks before you decide, we use positions and pillows made for pregnancy, and your midwife or OB knows you are seeing us. Ask them first. If you are told to avoid chiropractic care, we will not treat you.
Will it hurt?
Most people feel pressure and movement, not pain, and some feel sore the next day. Pregnancy changes how you lie down, so we use side-lying and pillow positions and keep adjustments light. Tell us at any point and we change what we are doing.
How many visits will I need?
Dr. Das sets a plan with you after the first exam and changes it as your pregnancy changes. We do not promise a number of visits, and you can stop at any time.
